This is just half of the game and it shows. The studio run out of funds and they just released what they were able to finish. Well, there are some goblins, but not for the entire game, which is a big relief! I would give this a 10/10, but the game is unfinished. What makes me happy here is that the Trine 1 spirit has been resurrected, there are no pointless secrets and chests filled with poems (I'm looking at you Trine 2), no irrational puzzles or goblins. Sure, the rpg elements have been removed and the collectibles are easier to find, but that's nothing. It features a lot of interesting enemies and ideas and the best level designs in the entire series.

Trine 3 gives us back the great puzzles of Trine 1. This one is definitely better than Trine 2 and the sh**ty dlc "Goblin Nickelback". It's still the same awesome game, that the first part was. That's cool and all, but does it really matter? No. That's cool and all, but does it really The spirit of the Trine has been restored! Trine 3 is the first game in the series that's in 3D. When all was said and done, there was little enjoyment to take away at all, making it easily one of the worst games I've ever played. The spirit of the Trine has been restored! Trine 3 is the first game in the series that's in 3D. Most of the time the difficulty seemed to come from just trying to make the game work, as several bugs made the already bad experience even worse. Mandatory side quests patted out what little content the game had, and overall it was simply not fun to play. Skill trees were removed, and all the character actions were over simplified.

This lead to some neat cutscenes and a story that could have been interesting, but their budget ran out a third into the game leaving the game only 3 hours long and the story unfinished. Trine 3 was too ambitious of a project, ditching the side-scrolling puzzle platforming in favor of a third person action experience.
